Factory Five Kit Car Assembly by City Classic Cars

More than 20 years have passed since the introduction of the first Factory Five Roadster. Back in 1995, kit cars were at opposite ends of the spectrum. They were well-built but expensive replicas on one end, and poorly-built, inexpensive “kit cars” at the other end. This is still mostly true today, except for the cars built by a small group of wing-nuts at a company called Factory Five Racing. The marriage of modern CAD-based engineering and vintage design is a winning combination. City Classic Cars specializes in learning and embracing the technology of the Factory Five Kit Car Assembly from its Restomod Factory at 16548 Stuebner Airline Road in Spring, Texas 77379.

Mk4 Roadster Kit Car Assembled by City Classic Cars

The original FFR Roadster was based on the concept of using running gear from a single modern donor vehicle, the high performance Mustang. The Mustang running gear was chosen for a number of reasons, but mostly because of high performance relative to cost and ready availability of parts through dealers. The earlier Mustang 302 V-8 is exactly the same block that powered the original vintage AC Cobra and Ford Gt-40 to World Championships in the 60’s. Over a million Mustangs were built between 1987 and 2004 and the performance after-market for these parts is well established. City Classic Cars can build your new-old look roadster.

Gtm Supercar Kit Car Assembled by City Classic Cars

The GTM is a V-8 powered, mid-engined rear wheel drive car with a composite body shell and an aluminum and a unique proprietary steel tube frame chassis. The car uses GM high performance parts such as engine, drivetrain, suspension components with four-corner coil-over shocks, performance brakes and a transaxle. The GTM is light and aerodynamic, with excellent weight distribution and precise race-car handling/braking derived from the Chevrolet Corvette C5. In the September 2007 issue, Car and Driver reviewed a prototype GTM LS7 and their testing achieved 0-60 in 3.0 seconds and 1/4 mile in 11 seconds at 134 mph, beating the tested speeds of European Supersportscars like the Ferrari 599 GTO, Porsche Carrera GT, Lamborghini Murcielago SV, Ferrari Enzo and several other considerably more expensive exotic production vehicles. City Classic Cars high performance team would love to assemble your GTM Factory Five Kit Car.

'33 Hot Road Kit Car Assembled by City Classic Cars

Making a hot rod drive like a supercar is what was achieved on this 33 Roadster. The goal of making a modern Hot Rod handle like a well-balanced sports car required more than a well-designed and rigid frame. On the shoulders of the Factory Five revolutionary ‘33 frame, was placed a state-of-the-art suspension, precise steering, competent brakes, and a lowering of the center of gravity and excellent front/rear weight distribution. The Factory Five '33 Hot Rod started from the idea of using the Factory Five product template on the Hot Rod. The idea was to stay as traditional as possible, but make performance and drivability the focus and package all the parts together to reduce the number of places a guy has to go. The ultra-rigid frame is made of mig-welded, high strength carbon steel tubing and plate steel. This unique design delivers great torsional rigidity, increased cockpit space, and numerous safety features. The front suspension is an in-board coil-over design with elegant, yet strong, unequal length upper and lower tubular A-arms and high-end mono-tube adjustable coil-over rod-end KONI shocks. The rugged front suspension delivers superior handling without the compromises of Mustang II style set-ups and it tells the world that this car does more than go in a straight line. The hot rod is delivered with the entire front suspension, spindles, steering rack, brakes, and fasteners. City Classic Cars would love to earn the right to assemble your 33 Hot Rod Factory Five Kit Car.
